Whiskey Sour
A whiskey sour is a lovely combination of whiskey with the tartness of lemon and enhanced with the sweetness of simple syrup*. The egg white cuts the acidity and creates the classic froth you see with this cocktail. The acid of the lemon ‘cooks’ it so it's safe to consume. This cocktail is believed to have originated from British sailors, combining whiskey with citrus to fight off scurvy.*Simple syrup is basically equal parts of sugar and water dissolved over medium heat and cooled. I try to watch my sugar intake so I create my own sugar-free simple syrup. Or, you can simply buy premade simple syrup.Visit our “Appreciating Whisky” post for more tips and recipes – https://thecultureties.com/appreciating-whisky
